Founded in 1980, Manhattan Quilters Guild evolved over the years into an invitation-only group of established art quilters who critique one another's work and plan exhibitions. I joined MQG in 1986, and what was true then is still true today: the work of Guild members continues to inspire, and challenges everyone to work at the very highest level.

The mission of non-profit Textile Study Group of New York is to educate and promote a wider appreciation of fiber art among the larger art community and the public in general and to inspire and support artists who share a mutual commitment to fiber as a medium for artistic expression. I'm Chair of its Speaker Committee and a contributing editor for the bi-monthly newsletter.
